Gudeg is one of the typical dish you need to try when you are in Jogjakarta. Served with gudeg chicken or egg, krecek, and hot fluffy rice, you will get a hearty meal with local taste. This particular one, Gudeg Pawon, is famous for opening at 22.00, but the queue would start from 30 mins before. Near 23.00 o’clock, it would already be sold out. Taste-wise, I liked it, especially the aftertaste. Since gudeg’s cooking process is quite long, it can be considered as a rich dish. But their aftertaste was quite clean, good combination of flavour as well.
